I understand that it's difficult to reproduce it, but it can't be that uncommon. Support for scripting BetterTouchTool supports scripts and macros to automate or customize tasks. This is on Mojave (10.14.2) on a 2015 MBP 13 inch. BetterTouchTool is a great, feature packed app that allows you to configure many gestures for your Magic Mouse (1 & 2), Macbook Trackpad and Magic Trackpad (1 & 2) and also Mouse Gestures for normal mice. There is nothing abnormal in my system logs, as far as I can tell, and I could not find a log for 1Password. Other applications hide, but not 1Password. I tried to do "Hide Others" from another application. I am using Dark Mode, but tried switching to Light Mode. I quit all other open windowed applications except Safari. I toggled them all to windowed mode the problem persists.

I used some applications in full screen mode, thought that perhaps that had something to do with it. I have the 1Password menu item visible in the menu bar and I use Bartender, so I tried disabling the 1Password menu item. I am not using any weird tools or customizations. Note that it does hide before the first unlock! So there is a clue. Steps to reproduce for me are very simple:

It also didn't occur on my previous Mac where I had pretty much the same software installed. This problem never occurs with any other app.

Doesn't matter if I lock it afterwards, it refuses to hide, both through the menu item and Cmd + H. For me it is very consistent: as soon as I have unlocked for the first time, it will refuse to hide. BetterSnapTool 1.9.7 MAS File size: 5. I quit it but unfortunately, 1Password still won't hide. I also use BetterSnapTool so naturally I suspected it.

(but i'm not accessing it through the extension, so i'm not sure that's I have the same problem. I checked the Console as i was trying this and it didn't say anything relevant.Ĭan't remember it ever happening with any other applications. There's no beep or error or anything, it just doesn't respond. In any case, it doesn't respond to the 'Hide 1Password' menu item, the 'Hide' menu item on the Dock icon, or the ⌘H keyboard shortcut. It also happens whether i open 1Password directly (from Alfred or Finder) or via 1Password mini. It's happened again just now, and i tried restarting it a few times, and of course it continued to do it, regardless of which vault or which 'screen' was selected. I can't remember when it started or what, i just know it happens all the time. Not always, but seemingly most of the time? I'm not sure. Therefore, I’m re-writing this review to reflect my sincere disappointment in him for not including this simple, widely-needed function in his most recent update, and for pressuring me to buy more unnecessary software on the HOPE that MAYBE he’ll consider adding this function someday, when the mood finally strikes. This happens to me as well.

It makes perfect sense to include this in an update, but when I asked Andreas, the developer if he would make this a priority in his next software update, he cheerfully told me that he would think on it, and MAYBE I’ll see the function in another update - IF I purchase his more expensive bundled software package, BetterTouchTool (which I don’t want or need). I really don’t know what the point is for having an app for arranging windows / window sizes when maximizing all windows and menu screens to see their content ISN’T even an option.

I just want an app that will automatically maximize every single window (AND app like Notes, iTunes, Mail, or MS Word) that I open, automatically, end of story…. Regardless of the screen size, I’m sick and tired of needing to resize to maximize windows (to their respective largest size) JUST to see their full content (and more importantly- their function button, which is often completely hidden, UNLESS you resize and maximize the window to its largest size).

I also have a 30" Mac Pro desktop screen. I work mainly on a small MacBook Air laptop that has a teeny-tiny 11” screen. This app will do lots of things BUT that. I need to automatically maximize all windows, so that I don’t have to. I purchased this app hoping that I could do one thing and one thing only: to maximize all windows and menu windows. Developer Won’t Create Update To Maximize ALL Windows and Menu Boxes (To See Full Content)
